Construction of LNG tanks, Qalhat / Oman

Two post-tensioned LNG tanks were constructed directly on the shore line in late 1999.

The tanks reached a dome height of 42m with an inner diameter of 82m, resulting in a capacity of 120,000m³ each.

Installed post-tensioning ducts had to be absolutely water tight in order to comply with stringent project specifications.

The DYWIDAG cryogen multistrand system with plastic ducts met the high corrosion resistance requirements.
