Colour Anti-Friction Washer

General Features

  • The DSI Anti-Friction Washer was developed to reduce friction between the nut and the dome ball.
  • This, in turn, allows for more efficient pre-loading of the bolt.
  • The introduction of colour coded anti-friction washers is due to the need to adequately identify rock bolt lengths, especially for mines using various bolt lengths.
    • Orange : Suit 1.225 to 1.500 metre bolts.
    • Red: Suit 1.525 to 1.800 metre bolts.
    • Green: Suit 1.825 to 2.100 metre bolts.
    • Yellow : Suit 2.125 to 2.400 metre bolts.
  • The increased diameter of washers is to facilitate ease of identification.
  • he current white washer is to be based on bolts outside this range of bolts as standard.
